I'd bet on the same world theory. The world probably slowly ran out of magic and became how it is today. That would explain why the beasts he mentioned existed in his world (dragons and the like) exist in our world as legends.

I also think it's the latter, also I think Lemmings is related to polka in someway shape or form. Maybe he is the hero, and he got reincarnated for some reason as well. Maybe the true corruption from the old kingdom, a ruler or a religious figure, reincarnated and has been a prominent figure behind the scenes. Either way super pumped for what's going to happen

but what about the animals that exist in his world but are only legends in the time he is now? like dragons you think suddenly the animals evolved to something that looks like a dragon and the legends became the future? i would think it makes more sense if his time was the past and dragons and so on got extinct and turned to legends after many many years and they only have that bad drawing ? left after all those years of that old kingdom rather than someone drawing this half ass logo and later turn it into a fansy embleme :D stones that were easy to get even for orphans (mana stones? ) are now expensive and rare so i dont think believing he went to the future is that weird? even the magic disapered well after they killed and changed everything i would understand why but i do wonder about thos few weird ''troublemakers'' either they also are from a different time or they found some kind of book or meet someone who taught them maybe how to use the little magic thats left ?
